Hi there,
After a few months of testing out different Chinese Language software available online, we discovered a few good one. We've students asking us regarding the Chinese Language software that's helpful, so we decided to do a review about it, and which will be a better one.
In one of my "What is the best way to learn Chinese" articles, we've identified 2 of the best way to learn Chinese. 1. Study on board at China. 2. Buy a Chinese language software and learn from it.
As we can see. Option 1 would definitely be a great decision but could cost you more than USD10,000 in just 6 months. Option 2, having the same result as Option 1, SAVE you more!
Let's see what is our favourite software for Option 2 - Buy a chinese language software.
We've purchase and reviewed plenty of Chinese language software(and return most of them) but only 2 manage to impress us. So let's have a look.
Under $60 dollar review (Budget for beginner)
Software name : InstantSpeakChinese.com
Software description :
This is one of the first Chinese Language membership site we've found, we're impress by the contents and pricing. You have to pay around USD50.00 to join the 1-year membership. It includes 100 audio lessons which is practical for everyday use, and able to playback in slow speeds.
Audio flash cards and talking dicitonaries available too.
What we did :
We signed up this course and actually paid a Nigerian students Chris to do this. We know Chris got no Chinese background at all. After 3 months of learning Chinese Language from Instant Speak Chinese.com, well, i won't say Chris can totally speak like a native but i'm quite surprise he do understand what i'm talking when i communicate with my friends and partners, and most of my Chinese friends are surprised that Chris can have basic conversation with them. Some thought he went to Beijing for the Chinese language courses.
What Chris said:
Chris said the only problem about this program, is that he need to be in front of his computer whenever he wants to learn Chinese. Which is sometimes a little bit hard for travellers like him, after all, for a beginner, it's more than enough.
What do we think?
It's hard to believe by paying only USD50.00, you can actually start learning Chinese like Chris did. If you are a totally beginner and just wanted to know some basic chinese daily conversations. This is the right one for you.
The bad thing is that you need to logged into the website everytime to learn Chinese Language, and it's only valid for 1 year. Unless you downloaded it! :) Anyway, InstantSpeakChinese.com is offering a great deal for that price, if you manage to master everything in 1 year, it's worth it!
Visit the website to find out more.
Under $120 dollar review (Serious Learner)
Software name : Complete Chinese Learning Suite.
Software description :
Complete Chinese Learning suite is a product from Transparent Language. They've more than 100 different types of language softwares, and the services that they provided to us are great!
When you go online and search for "Learn Chinese Language software", you would always ended up with software produced by unknown small company, which is usually cheap with lousy content.
Transparent Language Company do sell their product separately but we don't really encourage buyers to buy it separately, especially serious beginner. Their products are inter-linked with each other, you'll need all of them if you want to speak good Chinese.
How Much?
If you buy Complete Chinese Learning Suite, it would be USD120(download version). If you buy it separately, it will cost more than USD200.
What comes in the package?
From this course, you get to learn how to read, write, pronounce, speak Chinese Language.
What we did :
We purchase the Complete Chinese Learning Suite at USD120, and we gave this copy to an Australian exchange student Cynthia, she loves it and we put her through a 90 days program. After 90 days we actually asked her to do a 10 minutes public speaking using Chinese! Well, Guess what, Cynthia make it through and a few of our friends and campus students are excited over the result.
What Cynthia said:
Cynthia said it's hard to believe that she can actually communicate with some Chinese using Chinese language, she can even bargain, buy, sell and communicate in Chinese. She told us that she did attend a few Chinese Language lessons back in Australia which cost her AUD100 a month for 4 lessons, and she didn't even learn much from it.
The only problem which Cynthia told us would be the Chinese language itself. She said comparing to French and German, Chinese language is harder but thanks to Transparent Languages and LearnChineseForFree.com to make it easier for her.
What do we think?
Well, after hearing what Cynthia said, paying only USD120 and you get to own the Chinese Language Software for yourself to master it anytime you want is worth it. Compared to attending classes or courses locally. I believe by paying USD120 and able to speak and listen basic Chinese conversation is worth it, and you get to master it in long term.
Comparing to other Chinese Language software, we think that Complete Chinese Learning Suite is worth every cents paid! So find someone who wanted to learn Chinese as a partner and start learning Chinese today! Good luck! All the best!
Visit Complete Chinese Learning Suite.
Best wishes,
Jayden
